KaySandra Hunt, (Cynthia) is no stranger to the stage. She started writing at the tender age of 14 and directing by 18. She would later go on to study acting and creative writing at Columbia College in Chicago and hair and makeup at Dudley Beauty College.
Although KaySandra has written nearly 30 stage plays, she enjoys all aspects of theatre from acting to set design and makeup. She owns a children’s theatre company which provided educational entertainment to Chicago Public Schools. KaySandra also directs an exciting kids summer performing arts program called, Kids R Actors 2. This exciting program offers inner city kids an opportunity to learn about the arts and perform on stage. As many as 800 children have come through her program and many of them have now continuing their education and careers in the area of arts. The Ghetto Salon & Spa is a fundraiser for this amazing program.
KaySandra spends most of her time on and around stage. She enjoys nature, serenity and running. When she’s not writing and creating something wonderful for stage, she’s enjoying warm peanut butter cookies and a cup of white chocolate mocha. KaySandra lives up to her motto of “giving up is not an option” It is her goal to travel the world and share her stories of inspiration through laughter. She contributes her small successes to her cast of supporting friends and family and her unwavering love for God.

Kids R Actors 2 is a 501(c)(3) Organization offering both Spring and Summer Performing Arts Camp Program in the city’s West Loop, Lakeview and now Southside areas in Chicago, Illinois. Children in the program spend their entire summer learning to read and write music, design costumes, write monologues and skits, rehearsing plays, building set designs and learning cool dance choreography. Classes for kids and taught by trained industry professionals. At the end of the camp experience, our young campers take the stage and perform to demonstrate what they’ve learned in the program.
